🚨 Recent LCC News ✅ On September 14th 2021 we had our 3rd Halving Event ✅ On October 4th 2021 we successfully activated MinotaurX and Hive 1.2 on Mainnet. ⛏ MinotaurX - MinotaurX attempts to follow Satoshi's original "one machine, one vote" vision; on a multicore CPU, devoting additional cores to mining quickly results in diminishing returns. On some architectures, mining on half the available cores gives a higher aggregated hashrate than using all of them. Our cpuminer supports mining to all main address formats (P2PKH, P2SH, bech32). - You can mine LCC with MinotaurX using our cpuminer-multi fork: - Windows and Raspberry Pi cpuminer binaries are available here: 🍯 Hive1.2 - The inner hive hash now uses Minotaur. Minotaur is more suitable than MinotaurX for this purpose. Minotaur is approx 14 times slower than the previous inner hive hash algorithm (sha256d), which helps ensure fairness. 💰 Block Frequencies and Economic Changes - The target overall block frequency remains 75 seconds (1.25 mins). Within a 5 minute period, where we would previously expect to see 2 sha256d blocks and 2 Hive blocks, we now have 1 sha256 block, 1 MinotaurX block, and 2 Hive blocks. - Hive rewards have increased by 50%, while pow rewards have reduced by 50%. Therefore, the Hive honeypot increased, while realtime bee lifespan remains unchanged. This should increase the amount of Beekepers on the blockchain and allow more people to Hive mine.
